Welcome to November Holy Cross! We are officially two months into the new school year. Report Cards are quickly approaching and we may even see some snow in the coming weeks! Please be mindful that as the weather gets colder we want to make sure that we are sending our students with all the proper weather appropriate clothing and a change of clothes as well in case anything gets wet in those first few days of snow.
As a reminder for parents dropping students off early, the back doors open at 8:20, and students who are not using the program should be actively supervised by a parent until 8:20 when the doors open. On extreme weather days (rain/-25 or colder days) the doors will be open at 8:15 to allow students into the building early.
Have a great weekend!
November is almost upon us here at Holy Cross School, and with that comes some friendly reminders about morning and after school pick up/drop off. A reminder that during morning/after school drop off, when you are entering our parking lot off of Gentian, please turn to the RIGHT to go around the parking stalls, following the fence around the community center field, to drop your children off just in front of the yellow poles. Still, please do NOT park in the no-parking area. After you have dropped them off continue to drive back toward Genthon Street to exit our parking lot. This will assist in traffic flow in the AM and PM. In addition, during AM drop off please do not double park in the back alley to drop your children off, you can drive right to the back door of the school, let your children out and then continue on your way, please be patient and do not drop your children off directly by the poles and if there is a car ahead of your please wait for them to complete thier drop off before moving your car forward.
Should any parents wish to assist with traffic flow in the AM or PM please email Mr. Bourquin @ brettbourquin@holycrossschool.mb.ca to let him know. Thank you.
On Thursday, October 21st the students will get to participate in a halloween dance in the afternoon K-4 will be during periods 5 and 6 and the 5-8's will be periods 7 and 8. Alternative activities will be available as well!

Please check the website next week for our final newsletter of the year with some information for next September!
Dear Holy Cross Families,
In preparation for the end of the school year, we are letting you know that your child’s next grade teacher’s name will be written on their report card and therefore the report cards need to be picked up on the last day of school. The school office will close as of July 5th and if the report cards are not picked up, we will not be informing people over the phone which teacher your child will have for September. That is the purpose of writing the name on the report cards. The school office will only reopen on August 26, 2024.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Sincerely,
Holy Cross School Team
